Perry ikut menulis lagu dengan Bonnie McKee dan produsernya Dr. Luke, Max Martin, dan Cirkut. Ini adalah lagu power pop yang mengandung unsur arena rock dan lirik yang berpusat pada membela diri sendiri dan pemberdayaan diri.
Untuk mempromosikan lagu tersebut, Perry tampil di bawah Jembatan Brooklyn pada akhir MTV Video Music Awards 2013, di The X Factor Australia, di Sydney Opera House pada akhir Oktober 2013, dan di acara TV Jerman Schlag den Raab.
